Hi all, I thought I'd start a new thread. It turns out the floor is rotten from bow to stern, so it all has to come up. That being the case I'm going to replace the stringers anyway. The transom I'll deal with when I get to it! I might have quite a few questions as I really don't know what I'm doing if that's ok?! My first question is, can I safely cut that bracket out in the bow (the one just above the tool case in the attached image) without anything warping?

Cheers!

First, make a cradle for the hull. or your hull will warp and flex as you cut the structure out of it. if you dont know how to make a cradle, check the stickies, in fact, you should check the stickies on restoring the hull. read links 14, 15, 18, 2, 3, 4a and 4b prior to doing any work. that will answer most of your questions.

once you have a cradle for the hull, you can remove stringers and that bracket you mention that isnt in the pictures.

Thanks for the links mate, having a bit of trouble finding the cradle one you mention though...?
The bracket I was referring to is this one:

I'm hoping those seats I cut out aren't structural...

The boat is on it's trailer. Am I able to brace it using that?

cheers!
