When disconnecting the VRO system on this motor is it necessary to install a different new fuel pump? If so any ideas? Thanks!

No its not, search for VRO removal or disconnect.

What did you plug the VRO hole with, I removed mine and used vaccuum hose plugs but they seem to split after about 60 days???
