70 HP Rude vs. 90 HP Yamaha?

Hoping to get your opinions on a possible upgrade in power. I currently have a pristine 70 hp evinrunde on my 16ft smoker-craft. The boat is rated for up to 90hp. I'd like a little more top speed. Currently, my top end is about 37-38mph. Any idea's how much more I would get from a 90hp Yamaha? The 70 hp is a 94 model. The 90 hp I'm looking at is a 98 model.

Any comments on the difference in reliability between the two? Both are 2-strokes.

I have a 15' stratos bass boat with a 60hp Johnson that will top out around 40mph. I also have a 90 Yamaha that I tried on it for a summer. the extra top end was great and fun to drive. she'd go 48mph and believe would do even better with a high perf prop and jackplate.
