70 hp Evinrude?

I can pick up this engine for $300 or less. The psi in each cylinder is 120, it turns over just don't know if it will start or much else besides it "looks" clean. Would the price make it worth messing with or would I nickle and dime myself to death trying to get it to run?

Sounds like a heck of a buy, Marmon. I assume you are talking about a triple looper, not the monster guzzler V4.

There's probably way more than $300 of ebay/craigslist worthy parts on there if you can't get it to run. What's to lose?
