70 HP - Blown fuse w/power trim.

1989 Bass Tracker/17ft deep-v

Problem: 20amp fuse blows when using the power trim going up only, whether at throttle handle or on engine. Power trim down works and does not blow the fuse. Sounds like a short?

Could be bad up relay.....swap em and see if it blows when you hit down .

I tried that, still same behavior. the arrows point to what I think are the relay and what I swapped.

Yep, those are the relays. Fuse blows due to too much current draw so 1st step I would take would be to clean and inspect all wires and tighten them with a wrench. Look for pinched wires. Green wires are for down function, Blue wires are for up.

Found the issue. Blue wire pinched where wire comes into the engine.
