I have rebuilt the carbs after the motor would cut off when engine was put in gear. Now the engine is idling at 1500 plus rpms. The linkage has been adjusted to where the mechanic said the motor should be cutting off . We pulled the carbs back off, checked them again, adjusted floats, reinstalled. Before the linkage was adjusted the engine was idling at 2500 rpm. The mech is "stumped as to what is feeding enough fuel to make the engine idle so fast. He has some carbs on another 70 hp engine he is going to try to get the idle down to about 750 to 900. The house boat is out of the water. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Harold T. Yates
