Hi, I recently purchased this motor and when we went to start it (we had it sitting in a barrell of water) it didnt pump water the way I thought it should. The gentleman I bought it from offered to make things right and have a new water pump put in. Now the new water pump is in and it doesnt seem to pump water any better. When testing it was only in a barrel filled up with water and water would eventually come out but not in a steady stream and lots of steam would come out before any water would start to trickle out. Planning on taking it to the lake to see if it helps not being in a barrel? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It was definately over the intake a couple inches but not really where it would be if on the boat in the lake.

It's possible that the pee-tube is clogged up. It exits the starboard (right) side of the motor in the rear. Should give a steady stream... Try some compressed air or a piece of wire to unclog it...<br />- Scott
