I got this for free, Montgomery Wards Sea King 7.5 hp, Clinton Model: K7503107 D Serial: 998113
Type: XTV52207

I have not tried to run it yet,
1. Can I get a manual?
2. Can I get parts?
3. What year is it?
4. From a previous post I understand this type motor is air cooled and runs on chain saw 2-cycle engine oil/fuel mix?
5. Generally speaking, is this motor worth the effort or should I just give it to someone else?
Thanks!

There's an after-market manual that covers all the off-brand small motors. I can't remember the title, off-hand.

Parts are a bit tough on these. You can sometimes find carb stuff at a small engine repair shop. Other than that, it's not easy.

You're correct on the type of oil....mixture is either 16:1 or 32:1, depending on year, and I can't tell right away what year yours is.

If it runs, it's great. If not, then you're in for some work and parts hunting. These are not all that valuable when they are running, so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the info!
I determined that its a 1969. I got it to run, but I couldn't keep it running. I think the carb is gummed-up from sitting. It has good compression and spark.
I plan on giving up on it.
If anyone is interested in such a motor... pass the word.

Too bad...you can probably get it running again with a little work to clean out the carb. They're not terrific outboards, but they will do the job.

eBay has Ted Williams Manuals, etc. up right now. 10.00-20.00 or so. Just search them over and over. Good-Luck! Terry Tennessee
