I replaced the water pump for my7.5 mercury motor, I spin the pump with a drill and water comes out. I hook it up and it doesn't. I blew air in the pee hole and the air comes out of the lower unit and not out of the suction line. Is there a crack some where?

I would suspect the water pump tube is out of place.

I agree your water tube may not be inserted into the water pump outlet. You need to be extremely careful that all water tubes are completely clear, all water tube gaskets are tight and in good shape, and that your exhaust cover gaskets are good. Those cooling systems can be extremely finicky if all is not correct.

Yup, either a tube is out of place . . . or clogged. Did you replace the pump because the old one was destroyed? Remnants could be lodged in the tubes.

try making an adapter from a garden hose to 3/8 tubing, open the flush port on the motor and turn on hose should have a good flow from the flush port and coming from the motor. Make sure you replace the seal on the top of the upper part of the water pump as well as the rubber bushing and washer. When running in a tank make sure the water is higher than the pump, not just the intake. After it has been running a min or so it should have a good stream from the tell tale opening.
