I currently have in my Baja 252 with a 7.4 MPI Mercruiser. This engine (as I'm told ) is not a good choise for up-grades. I'm hoping to purchase another engine such as a 454 Mag or 502 Mag and do some HP up-grades before installing. My question is: Will the 502 take some parts from my MPI, such as starter, exhaust etc. I want the swap to be as painless as possible, in both work and MONEY. How would the new 496 work out.
