I have a '94 6HP Evinrude (E6RERE) that I noticed some water inside after running - there is corrosion right through the exhaust cover,in two spots 1/4" diameter. In addition to needing to find a replacement cover, I am wondering what is happenting here. I run it in salt water, like my other engines, and always flush, and have never seen this bad of a problem on a late model. I have a '77 15hp that still is going strong... Any others experience this early corrosion problem? And what is the best solution?
