6hp 2000 4 Stroke Nissan Outboard Fuel Leak

Hey guys got a quick question, just picked this up today, been sitting in a guys garage for quite sometime. After starting it I realized fuel was pouring out of the carb, all over the thing top to bottom. It appears that the carb has been removed in the past as the screws are obviously scarred up a little.

My question is, is this most likely a gummed up carb or is it likely something else is wrong and I need to order a replacement?

Time to clean the carb. Likely a jamming needle.

Sounds like the float is not seating to shut off the fuel when the bowl is full.

Floats don't seal anything. They raise and lower the needle....The needle is stuck.
