ok Im in the yard with the muffs on figuring the electric switches ... somehow Im getting water into my nice thin tye c oil and it thickens and stops my switching ... arggg... oh well Ive got to work on figuring that one out.

1st boat - reading service manual and searching posts ...

when my water muffs are on there is no water coming out my water vents ... is there a thermostat that stops this till the engine warms up or should it be freeflowing out?

and the exaust? just gomes out behind the prop or is it supposed to come out the water vent too? (only coming out the prop area... (ive only ran the motor for a few minutes at a time ...

There should be water discharge any time it is running. Most of the exh and water comes out the prop hub, the holes in the back of the midsection are relief holes. You have a seal leak. The drive shaft seal is a lot easier than the prop shaft seal to replace. Do the drive shaft one while you are working on the water pump, it is right below the pump.
