My dad and I recently returned a 1969 Starcraft Suncruiser to operational status after a who knows how long stay in the slings at a private boat dock.

A family friend bought the lake house and out in the boat house was the boat. There was a lifetime supply of dirt dobber nests in every nook and cranny and a siezed up engine. We towed it to a ramp were it was loaded on a car trailer, we didn't have a boat trailer at the time.

After a new cylinder head due to a dropped valve and various other repairs we hit the water. My son was Navigating and my dad was the Captain, gonna be some memories for the boh of them.

Specs from Starcraft:
Length 20 feet 1 inch Beam 96 inches Transom width 85 inches Dry weight no gas, battery, or engine 2350 pounds.
Max. Horsepower 160
Max. People 10
Max capacity weight 2500

Thanks for looking

Re: 69' Suncruiser action photos

Thanks guys.

The family has named it the SS Minnow, I am pretty sure there is room for the entire cast on the boat.

Another thing that is really cool about classic boats, we were at a boat ramp recently trying to load and the the entire operation came to a hault when everyone there started asking questions and wanting to take a better look.

Another time a guy in a 35' power boat had both of his curvacious friends try to leave the boat and join us, he was not happy.

Does anyone have any other pix of a Suncruiser, I have searched for hours with no luck.

Re: 69' Suncruiser action photos

There were two of them around here a while ago, and I have looked for them since my interest died in the '25 Steury and sold that.
No pics, I am still trying to locate the S-cruisers from around this area again. If I do I'll post them.
Found a ('77?) Chief 21, and am working to get that one brought home.
A Suncruiser is what I was originally looking for 'cause they are very attractive looking boats and there's lots of room in them, but then I changed my mind to the Chief or the Islander so I could do the weekend thing.

Again....nice boat, enjoy it, they will never build them like that again!
