69 starcraft holiday trim problems

i just bought my first starcraft for a 900 bucks and the first problem i'm having is the hyd tirm just makes noise and does not move. I did get with boat a spare motor and all lower unit with trim assem. Were should i start to look thanks

For your trim problem, I will ask the obvious and ask if you checked the fluid in the reservoir?

no i did not and i also noticed a leak coming from bottom of unit. i'm going to remove and replace with used one i have so i'm going to start fresh in the morning
