Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... As far as I know, OMC was the only 1 to use that motor,....

It ran ahead of a Stringer drive,...

I'll move this to the OMC forum for ya,....

Re: 69 sea ray buick v6 omc outdrive transom seal

Welcome aboard:

On an Electric Shift Stringer, to remove the stern drive:

• Disconnect the shift wires (port side of the engine, just in front of the intermediate housing)
• Depending on what steering option you have, you may need to disconnect the steering arm from the stern drive
• Remove the trunion caps on the right and left sides (pivot point of the stern drive)
• Support the stern-drive, disconnect the trunion couplers and pivot the drive off the intermediate on the quadrant (tilt) gear

Be careful of the shift wires as they will need to come through the intermediate housing, but you don't want to risk hurting them.

With that done, the boot can be unscrewed from the transom itself. There's a ring clamp inside the boot around the intermediate housing that you'll need to undo once you've unscrewed from the transom.

Best to getcha' a manual. There's a bunch of stuff in the skickies at the top of the OMC forum in the Adults only section.
