69 4 hp johnson

Hi, got a 1969 4hp johnson model 4W69B......I have the factory manual, but it does not give compression numbers. Does anyone know what the compression should be? and whats the rule for checking compression with a "pull" start( how many pulls/ warm or cold)......I have gauge......Thanks 4 any help

there are not any published numbers on compression from J/E. better if warm/ but cold is fine also. 4 good pull on each cylinder. you are looking for the numbers to be as close to equal as possible. post you number and you will get opinions.
