69' 25 Rude leaking gear oil

So while test running my 18 hp johnson. I put my original 25 rude on the stand for a few days, and noticed it's leaking. It looks like gear oil coming from a small hole right above the anti cavitation plate. The small hole is also above the top LU gear oil fill screw. So I'm stomped as to what's going on here.

Hi cc. That's just an exhaust relief/drain hole from the factory. The oil you're seeing is probably just unburnt fuel/oil and exhaust from the last time it was run. As long as the oil in the gear case isn't milky you should be fine.

Cool.. It was run last in the tank so that's what I was hoping just some left over stuff up in their.
