69 155hp omc

just recently got a new (to me) boat (My first boat project) it is a 1969 IMP cabin cruiser with a 155 hp OMC 6 cylinder motor in it. I am trying to figure out what kind of motor this is (liters? etc) is the block made by ford? (the distributor cap seems to be in the right place for a ford. <br /><br />Any info you can share would be very much appreciated.

Is your engine a V/6?

Just wild guessing to see what comes of it, but I would have to say that if it is:<br /><br /> V6 it must be the Buick 255 cid <br /> I6 lets say the Chevy 250 cid<br /><br />I'd have to bet against Ford no matter what.

It would be a 225 cu.in. Buick (Kaiser) V6<br /><br />(This engine later became the 231)
