It should pop right off.... Check if theirs a c clip or something. It probably corroded together. I would soak it in a bucket of wd40 or something they sell gallon jugs. Be careful hitting the prop to hard.

Tilt motor up and put PB Blaster on splines and let her soak a couple of days. If that doesn't get it you will need to try puller followed by chistle.

I have herd of someone tying one 1/2 the engine to a tree and pulling on the other with a truck. It worked but i wouldn't be doing that.

get an old fashioned, run of the mill, steering wheel puller. go to your local hardware store and get some threaded rod and a brass nut. bend the threaded rod into hook that you can wrap around the prop blades and run the other end through the puller. Use the brass nut inbetween the tip of the prop shaft and the puller so you don't damage the prop shaft. Set it all up and put some torque to it, while hammering from the backside with your 2x4 and BFH. While you are making up this puller, start soaking the whole thing down with PB Blaster as was said in a previous post. Next step might be the plasma cutter!! Been there done that. Good luck!

Salt water = bad on motor and you need to do a lot more maintenance. Newer ones are better in salt water with better seals and such.

Yes there is such thing as a prop puller. Most likely any pulling may result in prop coming off hub. Then saw, or grind away rubber on hub to access the core sleeve on 2 side and carefully use thin blade cutoff wheel and cut ALMOST all the way thru on 2 sides (not to damage prop shaft) then chisel and BFH. This tells you why you pull the prop off annually and grease the propshaft, more often in that nasty salt water.
