Hi all! I have a '68 Evinrude "Big Twin" and I am having major cooling problems. I have no water comming out of the tell tale stream, and the block gets hot to touch after about 1 minute of idle. I have dropped the lower unit, checked the impeller, pulled the thermostat, and nothing is helping. I have flushed everything out with water ( I run a real weedy lake) all to no avail. I tried replacing the impeller but there is no difference. Do i have it in backwards??? The shaft spins clockwise, so the fins should trail behind the spin, right? If I pull the thermostat housing and start the motor, I get water comming out of the opening. I also did a compression check... 130 psi/ 120 psi. Any help will be greatly apprecieated!!! <br />
