67 merc thunderbolt 650 2 fuel pumps same kit?

Why do some 650s have only one fuel pump and others have 2? And are they The same rebuild kit?

i think only the early 1960,s 6 cylinders had 2 fuel pumps and i think they were all the same kit. go to old mercs .com and look it up.the six,s had 2 pumps to keep up with fuel demand,later merc just put in one big pump.
