When running at high speed (just below WOT), the engine will cut out briefly (come to idle or completely die) then go right back to the speed I was at, all in a matter of a second or so. It doesn't do it at slower speeds. Because of this, I only run it at half or 2/3 throttle and it does fine. It was suggested that this is a fuel filter restriction issue, allowing an air bubble to get built up and the engine cuts out for a second when it ingests the air. I checked the flat round fuel screen and it looks brand new. What else can cause these symptoms? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Water is a possible cause, Warden, but restricted fuel flow or air leaks are more often the culprit.

Also, a weak fuel pump can cause your trouble.

Any way I can diagnose more specifically the problem. I noticed that screen looks brand new, where to from here?
