I have a 1966 evinrude 40hp Big Twin. I noticed gas seeping out of what appears to be a brass plug in carb just above the carb drain screw. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this and how to fix it. It seems to use a lot of gas for just being a 40hp. Also idles rough, but smooths out on acceleration. Just bought it recently. Any help would be appreciated.
