Picked this up for a song, it looks to be in excellent condition and it did run last season. It looks better the a 92 nissan I have. I'll post some pics this weekend.

I plan to fire it up in the can this weekend, Does anyone on here know what plugs I need and what the fuel mix is? I have found conflicting data on the net.

ran damn good and pumped water. 42 years old and kicking. It did miss a bit every 30 seconds or so, I have not changed the plugs and didn't really run it good enough to warm it up, could have been at least a year without running. I'm pretty happy.

66 6hp Sea King was built by Chrysler. H10J Champion plugs set at .030.
Points set at .020.You might want to give it a little Stabil, Sea Foamm or other stabilizer. If you don't change the impeller keep a close eye on cooling.
Of course change the gear lube.

Re: 66 6hp Sea King

yep, planned to do the gear, plugs, etc this weekend and order a water pump kit so I have it when I need it. The person I bought it from gave me two weeks to get it running and I could bring it back if it wasn't satisfactory so I wanted to make sure it would fire.

This will be a backup motor for a 15hp nissan on a 14' aluminum v hull. I'll run it every other time out or so and where I go you're on your own so it's nice to have some piece of mind.
