65hp mercury won't start

put new plugs,changed wire that was bare at side of distributor, get juice to coil on two connections,put fresh battery in. cranks over fine but won't fire. need help to get it started

Hi Brakeman<br />You need three things to make that engine run. Compression, spark at the right time,and fuel. I have read your posts and don't see where you give us any info. Did you do a compression test? Did you use a guage? Did you test for spark? Do you have spark on all cyls. How about fuel? Are you getting any? Is it fresh? Because this is a holiday week a lot of us will be out with our own boats, so you'll have to be patient. I would suggest that you obtain a manual.
