'62 rk 24 40hp superseahorse, this weekend i noticed that the water seemed to slowly decrease in amount coming from the ehaust port on the back of the motor, however when i unhooked the water choke there was plenty of flow to the choke. is there a way to backflush this through that ehaust/water exit? and is the tail piece behind the prop also a water inlet where that screen is? if so does there usually drip a creamy substance after trailering home, if this is plugged can I remove that and clean it out? I know that there is an inlet on the side of the tail I opened that one and cleaned that during water pump install

what is a water choke?? the screen area is the water inlet, no should not be dripping milk shake, although, the back side ( bigger opening) is the exhaust, it could be dripping, excess unburnt fuel/water out of the exhaust housing. you need to figure out exactly where it is coming from.

this is the, what i referred to as, the water choke, it is actually the choke system that runs off of hot water coming from the engine. it has an inlet on the top and an outlet on the bottom. also a vacuum port to keep choke in its proper position when running.

this is the water inlet(?) that i was talking about(more towards starboard side of the engine, but behind the prop) i can see a milky creamy substance coming from here. can i open this bottom piece with the flathead screws without taking any unnecesary things apart? and also if this is plugged can i backflush this without causing damage?
