60 hp. Evinrude outboard year of mfg., manuals and "3 CYL" meaning.

I recently purchased a used 60 hp Evinrude outboard motor, mod. no. E60ELCD and ser. no. G1106294. I'd like to know: 1) the year when this outboard motor was built. 2) Where I can get an owners manual. 3) Where I can get a repair manual. and, 4) What the stamping on the mounting bracket of the motor saying "3 CYL" means.<br />Thanks in advance for any information that you can give me on the above.<br />Pete41

I come up with 1985 as the model year.<br /><br />"3 cyl" means that the engine has 3 cylinders.<br /><br />The Johnson and Evinrude 3 cyl engines are one of the best designs ever. Introduced as a 55hp in the 60s, it was 30 years ahead of the industry. <br /><br />Good luck.
