2cyl 1979-80 johnson 60 hp.Top cyl will run at half throttle but quits at full throttle.Doesnt run well at low speed either.Rebuilt carb and new plugs.

Check the coil for cracks or other problems, also try swapping the coils, if the problem follows that coil then you know what the problem is.

Easy and no cost test to start things off.
