60 ELPT BF Falling Off at High End and Leaking Fuel from the Vapor Separator

Hello.
60 hp, 4 cylinder EFI, Serial 1C153252. Just put it in the water for the season.
Starts, idles and takes off great, but, after a minute of full throttle it will falter and experience a serious drop in power. Let it rest a few minutes and it will repeat; take-off well only to falter. Upon returning to the dock I noticed fuel dripping at the port side of the column, tracing the line to a fitting at the top rear of the vapor separator.
What may these tea leaves be suggesting?

Pressure regulator? Why would it fail?

No expert on your motor, but leaking fuel from the top of the VST would mean the tank is over filling. That would be the overflow and maybe the float item 32 and needle valve item 24 is the issue

Thank you. This is why I am stuck; sticky float that might be freed up for $0 or pressure regulator at $200.
What would E. Carl Kiekhaefer do? lol
