6 hp versus 7.5 hp?

Hey guys, I have a 1973 6 hp evinrude and I’m in the process of putting together a 1983 7.5 evinrude.. My question is this, how much more horsepower should I get using the new 7.5? Is it equivalent to the 6 or closer to the 8? Thx. Not sure if this was the right place for this question? Sry.

Another 1.5 hp. More than the six, but less than the 8

I think you should get 1.5 more HP with the 7.5 vs. the 6
