6 gal metal tanks

Got 2 6 gal metal tanks to clean on inside,whats good besides gas back-forth 100 times????/ Thanks

Chum,<br /><br />Depends on what you are trying to get out of them.<br /><br />Carb. cleaner works OK, just make sure you get all of it out before you use them. I would let them dry out completely inside after carb. cleaner useage.

chumbucket,<br /><br /> I think I would just get a couple of 6 Gal. plastic tanks and save alot of aggrivation. Unless you have a specific purpose for the metal ones, such as keeping everything original. Just a thought! Good Luck, Rick

Chumbucket; I think I'd go with Ricks advice. I recently bought two 6 1/2 gallon plastic tanks on sale at Wal Mart for 13.95 each.<br /><br />If you still want to clean those steel tanks, dump a couple handsfull of marbles in each one. Put them in the back of your pickup and drive around for a couple of days. They will sparkle. Happy Boating, Hal
