Can anyone recommend a good one? Most are not rated for 6 awg wire. I found a couple, but they are pretty high for the set, but they may all be high though...

Just to avoid any surprises ... the part shown here is just the 6-guage wire adapter. It does not include the actual receptacle. That has to be purchased separately. If you look at the picture, what you are getting is the only the part the wires connect to up to the joint line between the two screws. The receptacle is the rest of it.

I use this on my boat and it works great.

I have been using a 50amp rated two prong gray plastic plug from standard that takes 6awg. They are used on my van battery charge connection. Lawn tractor, trolling motor plugs, outboard start circuit for a total of 7 years with very little trouble. This year I did shim the connector pins to increase preasure on the contact pins. These snap together and work well. Most of my loads do not exceed 35 to 40 amps. Each plug costs about $10 last time I checked at the auto or truck supply store. Good Luck!

The resistance added be the 30 foot run of 6 gauge wire (up and back) amounts to .012 ohms. No big deal. Charge through the plug if you want. The charger won't care.
