Motor has been running great. Motor about 1 year old. I am the first user, have maintained meticulously with manufactures break in etc. This past weekend, well into the day, with the engine warmed up completely, the boat engine died at 1/2 throttle. Right before it died, the rpm started jumping all over. Temp was normal, oil pressure was normal. Waited a couple of seconds, raised prop to check for plugged inlet/prop/etc. Everything fine. Started and got about 50 yards and same thing. After docking I took off the flame arrester cover and found a red reset switch - on top of block, just behind the flame arrestor - assumption is that it is the EFI module reset - owners maual did not give description. Pushed the reset switch and boat started on first try and ran great rest of day. The next morning, ran for about 1 hour great then stalled out. I pushed the reset button,boat started and ran great as I headed back for the dock (about 4 miles) ran at 1/4, 1/2, full throttle varying speeds - ran fine. Just just as I was pulling into the dock it started stalling again. Is it fair to assume that this is an EFI module problem? Any suggestions on what to look for when I call the dealer? Any help would be appreciated. :confused:

the red button is a main circuit breaker for the engine not a reset for the ecm.if you are sure that pushing the reset button helps ,then change the circuit breaker ,because breakers should be either on or off .if the breaker trips, the engine dies instantly,no eratic running or being able to crank over or restart without pushing the reset button .also if your engine has a thunderbolt distributer and not the delco dist.you may be having a problem with the ign. sensor in the dist.stalling and cutting out are classic symptoms of a dist. sensor failure.{but a sensor failure won't trip the circuitbreaker.}

I agree with John, one more point, keep a eye on your volt guage make sur your alt is putting out. Efi's need a strong battery and alt to keep correct voltage to ecm, low voltage to ecm will cause ecm flashing or miss fire. Also check your grounds.
