Hey guys I recently purchased a 5hp nissan outboard year 1999 and I believe it is a NS5B model. I got it to run with fresh gas and new plug. It ran for a whole 30 seconds to a minute. It ran okay for that period of time but I tried to let it idle and it eventually died. I could not get it to restart at all. Pulled the plug and it was a little wet so I dried it off and still nothing. I did notice the carb is leaking fuel out of the bowl so I think the float might be stuck. Would that prevent it from starting? Any help is much appreciated.
