Does anybody have any feedback on the 92 model 587 white engines in the seadoo sp's?? I believe its the single carb. I have the chance to get one at a good price and I just want to know if they are crap or not??

Their ok. They have a problem with the seals on the rotary valve that leak. You have to pull the engine most times to be able to get in their and replace the seals.

At that age it's anyone's guess and what is a good price, a 92 that runs can't really be worth more than 5 or 6 hundred dollars in my opinion, salt water? fresh water? pump condition? does it smoke a lot when it first starts after sitting all night? compression? end play in the rods? exhaust welch pluge rotted out? lots of variables
