I had been looking off and on for a fishing boat for my grandson and I. The boats I found that were interesting and in my price range were mostly a good distance from me. About a week ago I was checking around and found one 10 miles away. The guy I bought it from had it for maybe three years, it sat for maybe a year and a half. He told me he bought it from an older gentleman that had put the wood floor and carpeting in it. (aluminum boat)
I decided to call the older gentleman just to find out all the history I could about the boat. His wife answered and told me he had passed away in June and asked me why I was calling so of course I told her so she wouldn't be worried about what I was wanting. She told me that her husband had bought that boat many years ago and fixed it up, put in floor and steering wheel, cables and all, but, he had never put it in the water all the years he had it as he had a friend that bought a bigger boat and always went fishing with him. I thought I was being so careful about buying a boat and all I ended up being was a tightwad! Story of my life in a way.

Your grandson got a great story to go along with his boat, everyone has to start from somewhere.
