Folks,
Here's some pics of the RD with the top off. Looks like a aluminum fishin boat huh.
As I removed the old plywood cover from the bottom of the bow, illusions of finding all sorts of spare change that fell out of bathing suits and rolled off the dash onto the floor which eventully made its way to this hiding place entered my mind. Old buffalo nickels especially! Well, no such luck. Only palmetto bugs and carpenter ants - and a bunch of pieces of styrofoam. Mabee next boat.
The designer of these boats realy did a great job. For 1957, there is litte unecessary structural componants or weight. Took some time to sand the gunwale. Looks good. Only some surface corrosion.
