hello, i have a 57 feathercraft 12 foot alum boat. i dont know much about this boat. does anyone know any info about this boat? max hp? things like that. and why did feathercraft go out of production

You're in luck! Go to the link below, where you'll find a copy of all the pages of the 1957 Feathercraft catalog, complete with all specs on the boat, including horsepower maximums.

I looked at it, and it appears that the limit on the 12 footer is 7.5hp. However, measure again, from transom to the tip of the bow. It may be longer than you think.

There is a Feathercraft site Classic Aluminum Boats there is lots of Feathercraft info and history.Some of their boats were pretty dumpy looking but most were quite stylish.

i found a site that has the boat and it looks exactly like it except a few things

mine doesnt have the reinforcments on the floor it doesnt have the handles in the back and it is double riveted where the floor and the sides are riveted together. i measured it and its 11 feet 6 inches. it says 11' 5'. i dont know if this is the same boat but i looked at all the other ones and they dont look anything like it.
