Re: 57 evinrude question

Please be more specific. A tiller handle adjusts the throttle, and if no tiller there is linkage that adjusts the mag plate and throttle. What exactly are you looking for? Rick

Re: 57 evinrude question

I have a tiller, I'm not sure whether I'm getting full throttle or not. I need to know how to check for that and if I'm not how do I adjust it.

When your twist throttle is wide open, look in the carb throat...the butterfly should be fully open. If not, do a link and synch. There is a key that mates the throttle linkage gears on those motors...if it's sloppy or missing, you can't get WOT. You can also adjust how it runs with the high-speed carb jet...if that's not set right, it'll be doggy.
