Anyone tell me what year this motor was likely produced in? I don't own it yet just shopping so I don't have serial info.<br />Thanks

Hey there Calabogieboy. I can tell you without a doubt that it was made in 1959. I can say that because my'Rude is a 1959 35HP made in 1959 "Golden Jubilee" These are good old motors.<br /><br />

Hi C-Boy,<br /> Your 6hp is a 1971 model. Johnson outboards started in 1921. Evinrude was begin in 1909, hence the 1959 Golden Jubilee for their moniker...<br />- Scott

Sorry bout that. Didnt realize that Johnson had a later beginning. Still are good old motors tho!
