50hp tohatsu elec to ign

Son in law recently installed a new stereo into the family party boat, now, no power to the eng, must have shorted a fuse, does the motor have an inline fuse, if so what is the amp, is this a special fuse ??

There is a fuse on the engine...As I remember it is a 20 amp and there should be a spare fuse next to it in a sealed plastic sleeve.

fuse is good, been chasing wires, may have found a bad wire in the control box, likely due to years of shifting, will be replacing the control box..........
