50hp force on mercury tilt?

Any of you guys know if its possible to mount a 89 force 50hp on a old double ram mercury tilt that once (still does for a couple more days) held a 73 mercury 500 50hp?<br /><br />Please say yes it will bolt right on.

My guess is that it won't bolt up. In 89, I think Force was still made by Chrysler. I bet a 73 merc and an 89 force have little if anything in common.<br /><br />This of course doesn't mean you can't make it work, but just my guess as to whether it will "bolt right up"<br /><br />k
