I have a 1989 Evinrude 50HP VRO. The VRO is disconnected and using mixed fuel. The problem that I am having is when it idles it seems like it backfires (but doesnt) through the intake and at that time it spits a little fuel out of the lower carb. It will die then start right back up and do it again. Runs great at higher rpms (anything over 1200rpm). Just had the carbs professionally rebuilt has new fuel filter, spark plugs, and new fuel. If anyone has any ideas please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.
