i have a 1974 muskie 15 and can't get more than 5 mph. i changed gas cleaned tank and filters , primer bulb is hard while running, the choke works o.k., the tank isn't creating a va***n. any other suggestions?
Hey, brempI. First check your linkages to throttles and ignition. If they are okay, pull the fuel input line off one of the carbs and stick it in a can or bottle. Turn her over and see if you get spurts of fuel. No spurts, overhaul the fuel pump. If that's okay start her up and pull one plug wire. If the engine dies, try the other one. If it will run with one plug firing but not the other, you have a dead cylinder. Let us know and we'll start on troubleshooting that.<br /><br />Standing by.<br />JB
