My 50HP 2 Stroke 1999 Yamaha will go for a minute or so on the plane then an alarm sounds and it drops off the plane. I put it back in idle and the alam stops and I can get going again.
I've replaced the fuel hoses, cleaned out fuel filter, put in new spark plugs, oil tank is full, impeller been replaced about a year ago. Engine does not seem to be overheating, in fact, I took her out a few month ago and gave her a good run (not problems that day) and when I was rinsing the motor I felt the "indicator" stream and it was fairly hot, yesterday when I was having this problem from the launch, when I was rinsing the motor, the "pee" was cool.
