50 Yamaha - Won't start - Help!!!!

I have a 99 Yamaha 50 and I have fuel but it will not start. <br /><br />Any Ideas where to start?<br /><br />Any place I can get a troubleshooting flowchart to check the ignition system?<br /><br />Does anyone know how you can check a powerpack?<br /><br />Thanks for any and all help.<br /><br />bigg-o

Ahoy, bigg-O.<br /><br />Start by checking for spark. Pull each plug and see if each will arc a 1/2 to 3/4" hot, blue spark to the block. While they are out, check your plugs for wetness.<br /><br />No spark? Disconnect ignition kill wire and check again.<br /><br />If you have good spark on both, check your starting procedure. Wet plugs that are firing suggest flooding. Dry plugs suggest too lean or no fuel mix getting to the cylinders.<br /><br />If the plugs are firing but dry, try spraying some fuel mix into the carb throat.<br /><br />Let us know what you find, and we can proceed from there.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

Its a Yamaha so hey its not broke. Landyard switch that turns it off and on near the key!
