50 Yamaha (1995) "trigger"

What is the "trigger"? Have cleaned the carbs, set the adjusting screws, but still have to choke to keep running. Someone said that it may be the trigger. What to do?<br />Ben

Ben Day -<br /><br />Several things could cause your problem, but most lead back from the carburetors. Can you substitute a good gas tank and good hose? That would eliminate problems before the fuel pump, if the problem remains.<br /><br />Here's my "A" list...<br />Plugged filter in tank or in-line.<br />Pinhole in any gas line<br />Failed fuel pump<br />Clogged jets<br />Etc.<br /><br />Has it run well before, and how did it seem to fail? Has it set up for any length of time?<br /><br />You probably didn't get many answers since you haven't read this.<br /><br />Good luck and Merry Christmas!
