50 hp Mercury- no power

1973 50 hp mercury has top speed of 10 mph when pulling a tube. Used to go 25 pulling a tube or skier. Dies when going from neutral into gear. No power whatsoever. I've had carbs rebuilt, new fuel pump, new plugs, new gas tank. Usual top speed ( with no tube or skier)was 30 but now will only go about 15 or 20 if I am lucky enough to get it to move out of neutral. Compression is 110 per cylinder. It runs smooth with no missing, just has no power to do anything except idle. I suspect my carbs were not rebuilt correctly. Any suggestions????? What should compression be?

hi mine did the same first check for a dead cyl. pull wires one at a time,while at idle.there should be a drop in rpm.mine was running on 2cyl......sounded fine ran fine but no power
