50 hp johnson foot interchange

Purchased my first boot. Has a 83 johnson 50hp that runs great. Lower unit was run without oil so I have been told and is siezed. Found a 60hp evinrude for really cheap. Complete motor. Says the motor wouldn't idle. Will the lower unit swap with my 50hp? Model number E60ELCIA. Also what are some possible causes to the idling problem? Whole engine is $150 with a good lower unit. Thanks

The 1981 2 cylinder 60hp will fit the 50hp.

$150.00 is a pretty good deal. I would and have paid that before.
Before you install it it's best to change the pump and gear oil. That way you have a baseline and avoid trouble.
